GOOD CORPORATE CITIZENS
RAS is a vital part of each community in which we operate. Our involvement in the communities we serve goes well beyond the provisions of quality ambulance and paramedic services. We also maintain a solid commitment to education, providing citizens with access to first aid and CPR training, Junior Paramedic Programs, phone stickers and instruction on the proper use of the 911 system, and speakers to address civic groups on a variety of topics. We take pride in being good corporate citizens and making our presence in the community a positive one.

TEAMWORK
RAS has been a family owned and operated company since 1948. In the tradition of those earlier days, we strive to make each and every member of today's RAS TEAM a member of the Riggs family as well. As in any family, we look out for each other. RAS people constantly strive to upgrade and improve their own abilities so they become more valuable to the team and, ultimately, to the entire community. That's why we are constantly providing our people with opportunities to grow and become increasingly better at what they do.
CUSTOMER CONSCIOUS
While emergency ambulance service isn't free, it is a major commitment at RAS to make it as affordable as we can for our patients and customers. We're always looking for ways to offer the best care possible for the fewest dollars, which isn’t easy in today's managed care environment. That's why we offer services like insurance assistance to help you get every penny you deserve in reimbursement for emergency medical service.
COMMUNITY
The RAS family is not limited only to the halls of our locations throughout the county. It extends well into each of the communities in which we operate. We show our commitment to being good corporate citizens of those communities in a variety of ways. RAS medics are encouraged to be leaders in public service and education through programs such as "Junior Paramedic", "CPR in the Schools" and public speaking. These programs are designed to better prepare an individual to handle emergency situations and provide the knowledge they need to save many lives each year.
